Allu Arjun was born on 8 April 1982 in Madras (now Chennai). His family is from the Telugu community. His father, Allu Aravind, is a film producer. His grandfather, Allu Ramalingaiah, was a very famous film comedian who acted in over 1000 movies. Their family's hometown is Palakollu in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh.
Allu Arjun grew up in Chennai. Later, in the 1990s, his family moved to Hyderabad. He went to St. Patrick's School in Chennai. He later earned a degree in Business Administration from MSR College in Hyderabad.
He is the middle child of three. His older brother, Venkatesh, is a businessman. His younger brother, Sirish, is also an actor. His aunt, Surekha Konidela, is married to the famous actor Chiranjeevi. This makes Allu Arjun the first cousin of actor Ram Charan.

Early films and becoming famous (1985–2007)
Allu Arjun first appeared as a child actor in the film Vijetha (1985). He also appeared as a dancer in Daddy (2001). His first main role as an adult was in Gangotri in 2003. This film was directed by K. Raghavendra Rao and produced by his father.
His big breakthrough came with Sukumar's film Arya. In this movie, he played a cheerful and free-spirited boy named Arya. He falls in love with an introverted girl named Geetha. Personal life
Allu Arjun married Sneha Reddy on 6 March 2011 in Hyderabad. They have two children: a son named Ayaan and a daughter named Arha. His daughter, Allu Arha, made her acting debut in the film Shaakuntalam as Prince Bharata. In 2016, Allu Arjun also started a nightclub called 800 Jubilee.
In 2019, Allu Arjun celebrated a festival called Sankranthi in his hometown of Palakollu. He donated money for the development and renovation of the Ksheera Ramalingeswara Temple there.
