Frédéric Déhu (born on October 24, 1972) is a French former professional football player. He was known for playing as a centre-back, which is a defensive position.

Frédéric Déhu's Club Career
Starting at RC Lens
Frédéric Déhu started his professional football journey with RC Lens. He quickly became a key player for the team. From his third season, in 1993–94, he was a regular starter.
In the 1996–97 season, Déhu scored five goals, which was his best scoring year. The next year, in 1997–98, he was a very important part of the defense. His strong play helped Lens win their first ever Ligue 1 title. This is the top football league in France.
Moving to FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain
In the summer of 1999, after playing almost 300 games for Lens, Déhu joined La Liga team FC Barcelona. This is a very famous club in Spain. He played 23 matches for Barcelona. He scored one goal for them in a UEFA Champions League game.
After one year in Spain, he returned to France. He joined Paris Saint-Germain F.C. in 2000. He stayed with this club for four years. In his last year there, 2003–04, he helped them win the Coupe de France. This is a major cup competition in French football.
Later Career in Marseille and Spain
When he was almost 32, Déhu moved to Olympique de Marseille. He played there for two years. After that, he went back to Spain to play for Levante UD.
He didn't play as much for Levante. He was also sent off (given a red card) twice during games. Déhu retired from football in March 2008. He was almost 36 years old at the time.
Playing for France
Frédéric Déhu also played for the French national team. He played in five international games over two years. His first game for France was on August 19, 1998. It was a friendly match against Austria.
