The Fulbright Tower is a very tall office building, also known as a skyscraper, located in downtown Houston, Texas. It has 52 floors and was first called 3 Houston Center. This tower is part of a bigger group of buildings known as the Houston Center complex.
The Fulbright Tower offers a lot of modern office space, about 1,247,061 square feet. The first seven floors were designed for special trading areas. Here, companies could buy and sell things like electricity and natural gas. Over the years, the building has had different owners, including Chevron Corporation. Today, it is owned by Crescent in partnership with GE Asset Management and J.P. Morgan Asset Management. A big law firm called Norton Rose Fulbright has its Houston office in this tower.

History of the Fulbright Tower
The construction of this impressive tower was planned to start in November 1980. The building was finished in 1982. The land around the tower was developed a few years later, in 1985. That same year, the law firm Norton Rose Fulbright moved into the building.
Name Changes Over Time
The tower was originally named the Gulf Tower. Later, Chevron Corporation became the main company renting space there. Because of this, the building's name changed to the Chevron Tower.
In 2003, Norton Rose Fulbright made a new agreement to stay in the building. They also got the chance to have the building named after their firm. By 2005, Norton Rose Fulbright was using a large amount of space in the tower.
New Ownership and New Name
In 2004, Chevron Corporation sold the building to Crescent. At that time, about half of the tower's offices were being used. By March 2005, ChevronTexaco decided to move its offices to a different building in Downtown Houston.
Because Norton Rose Fulbright had the right to name the building, they used it. In 2005, the building officially became known as the Fulbright Tower. In 2006, even after moving most of their operations, Chevron Corporation still had offices on three floors of the tower.
Who Rents Offices Here?
