Fulmor (also known as Fulmor Heights) is a small community in Pennsylvania, United States. It's not a city or town with its own government. Instead, it's an unincorporated community, which means it's a neighborhood within a larger area called Upper Moreland Township. You can find Fulmor in Montgomery County.

Fulmor is located where Byberry Road and Warminster Road meet, just east of Hatboro. Even though it's its own community, Fulmor uses the same ZIP code as Hatboro, which is 19040.

About Fulmor Heights

The Fulmor Heights neighborhood covers about 60 acres of land. It's special because it's managed by a group of homeowners called the Fulmor Heights Home Ownership Association. This group is a type of housing cooperative. This means that the people who live there collectively own and manage the neighborhood.

Within the Fulmor Heights neighborhood, you can find a few local businesses. There's a deli where you can grab a bite to eat, a beauty salon, a social club for residents, and a gathering hall for community events.

History of the Community

The land where Fulmor Heights now stands was purchased in 1940. It was bought by the Public Housing Authority. Their plan was to build homes for civilian defense workers. These workers were important because they worked in factories nearby, helping with the country's defense efforts.

After World War II, in 1947, something interesting happened. About 300 residents decided to buy the neighborhood from the government. They then organized themselves into the housing cooperative. This allowed them to own and manage their own community together.

Transportation

Fulmor used to have its own train station called the Fulmor station. This station was part of SEPTA Regional Rail's Warminster Line. However, the Fulmor station closed down in 1996.

Today, if you want to catch a train near Fulmor, the closest station is the Hatboro station. It's also on the Warminster Line, making it easy for residents to travel by train.
