Goffrey A. Hardaway, Sr. (born June 18, 1954, and passed away on April 24, 2026) was an important American politician. He was a member of the Democratic Party. Mr. Hardaway served in the Tennessee House of Representatives, which is a group of elected officials who make laws for the state of Tennessee. He represented District 93 from January 2013 until his passing today, April 24, 2026. Before that, he also served in District 92 from March 2007 to January 2013.

First Election in 2007
In 2007, a special election was held for District 92. This happened because the previous representative, Henri Brooks, stepped down. Mr. Hardaway ran for the Democratic Party. He won the primary election without anyone running against him. Then, in the main election on March 13, 2007, he won with 1,405 votes, beating the Republican candidate, Richard Morton.
Re-elections in District 92
- In 2008, Mr. Hardaway ran again. He won the Democratic Primary with 4,032 votes. He then won the general election on November 4, 2008, with 14,819 votes, as no one ran against him from other parties.
- In 2010, he was again unopposed in both the primary and general elections. He won the primary with 5,579 votes and the general election on November 2, 2010, with 8,254 votes.
Moving to District 93 in 2012
After some changes to the districts, Mr. Hardaway ran for District 93 in 2012. He faced another representative, Mike Kernell, in the Democratic Primary on August 2, 2012. Mr. Hardaway won this primary with 2,927 votes. Later, in the general election on November 6, 2012, he won with 16,126 votes, as he had no opponents from other parties.
