Gabriel Braga Nunes (born on February 7, 1972) is a famous Brazilian actor. He is well-known for his many roles in telenovelas, which are like long TV dramas or soap operas. Some of his most popular shows include Essas Mulheres, Cidadão Brasileiro, Caminhos do Coração, and Poder Paralelo. He also starred in Insensato Coração for TV Globo.

Gabriel Braga Nunes' Acting Journey

Gabriel studied Theatre Arts at the University of Campinas. He started his television career in 1996. His first role was Mário in the telenovela Razão de Viver, which aired on SBT.

In 1997, he played a photographer in the miniseries Por Amor e Ódio on Rede Record. After that, he worked on several popular shows for Rede Globo. These included O Beijo do Vampiro, Terra Nostra, and Anjo Mau.

Key Roles and Successes

In 2006, Gabriel returned to Rede Record. He had a very successful role as Fernando Seixas in Essas Mulheres. After that, he starred as Antonio Maciel in Cidadão Brasileiro.

In 2009, Gabriel Braga Nunes played the main character, Antonio Castellamare, in the telenovela Poder Paralelo. He acted alongside Paloma Duarte in this show. After being in five telenovelas in five years, Gabriel decided to take a break from television.

However, in late 2010, he was invited to join the miniseries As Cariocas. He appeared in the episode "A Atormentada da Tijuca" with Paola Oliveira. This marked his return to working with Globo.

Gabriel played the villain Léo in the telenovela Insensato Coração. After this show ended, he signed a four-year contract with Globo.

In 2011, he performed in the stage play Caminhos da Independência. In this play, he took on the role of Dom Pedro I, an important historical figure. In 2013, he was chosen to play the mysterious Teacher Aristóbulo in Saramandaia.

In 2014, Gabriel Braga Nunes played Laerte, a central character in the third part of the telenovela Em Família. In the same year, he was cast in a new telenovela by Gilberto Braga, called Babilônia.

Gabriel is the son of actress Regina Braga and director Celso Nunes. His younger sister, Nina Braga Nunes, is a theater producer. She is two years younger than Gabriel.

Gabriel Braga Nunes was in a relationship with actress and singer Danni Carlos for about three years. They started living together in mid-2005 but separated in 2007. In 2009, while filming the telenovela Poder Paralelo, Gabriel became involved with his co-star, Paloma Duarte.

In April 2014, he married Isabel Nascimento Silva, who is an assistant director. In June of the same year, their first daughter, Maria, was born.
