Elizabeth Gabriela Aguileta Estrada was born in Mexico City in 1974. She is a Mexican writer known for her children's books and short stories. Gabriela also has a strong background in science.
She studied biology at UNAM in Mexico. Later, she earned a doctorate in genetics from University College London in the UK in 2004. As both a scientist and a writer, she has lived and worked in many countries. These include Israel, Canada, England, Sweden, France, Spain, and Switzerland.
Gabriela was part of the team for La sonrisa del gato, a children's literary magazine. In 2004, she received a special writing award. This award came from the National Foundation for Mexican Literature. She has also written three popular science books. These books help kids and teens learn about science in a fun way. Most of her writing is in Spanish.
