Her older sister, Jazz, has recently passed away. Then, Sunny gets a letter that seems to be from her sister. After that, things start to get very strange. Giles' third novel, Playing in Traffic (2003), tells a big story. It is about a boy who tries to help a gothic girl.

Her fourth book, What Happened to Cass McBride? (2006), talks about problems teens face.
