Gaile Lok has a mixed background. Her mother is from Vietnam, making Gaile part Chinese and part Vietnamese. She was born in Macau but spent her childhood growing up in the USA.
Gaile started her acting career in movies. Her first film was a romantic movie called I Do in 2000. Later, she appeared in another film named My Sweetie in 2004. When she first started, some magazines in Hong Kong said she looked a bit like the Taiwanese actress Shu Qi.
Family Life
In 2006, Gaile Lok began dating Leon Lai, who is a well-known actor and singer from Hong Kong. Because of this relationship, she often received a lot of attention from the media.
Gaile and Leon Lai got married secretly in Las Vegas in 2009. Their manager and assistant were there as witnesses.
On October 3, 2012, Gaile and Leon announced that their marriage had ended. They said they had "different philosophies in life," which means they had different ways of looking at things. Leon Lai's manager also said that no one else was involved in their decision to divorce.
