Galila Ron-Feder Amit was born in Haifa, Israel in 1949. She went to the Hebrew Reali School when she was younger. Later, she studied at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. There, she learned about the Bible and Hebrew literature. Galila is a mother to three children. She has also been a foster parent to ten children from different homes.
