Galveston (/ɡælˈvɛstən/ gal-VESS-tən) is a small town in Jackson Township, Cass County, Indiana. It is located about 7 miles (11 km) northwest of Kokomo. In 2010, the town had a population of 1,311 people.

History of Galveston
Galveston was first planned out in 1854. It was probably named after the city of Galveston, Texas. However, there's a fun story that says it was named because someone saw "a gal with a vest on"! Galveston officially became a town in 1870.
