A Bit of History
In 1985, a big storm called Hurricane Bob hit the area. It caused a lot of damage to the old dam at Gardy's Millpond. Soon after, a brand new dam was built to replace it.
After the new dam was finished, the millpond was restocked with fish. This means new fish were put into the water. Gardy's Millpond then re-opened for public fishing in 1990.
