What is Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties About?
This movie takes Garfield and his owner, Jon Arbuckle, on an exciting trip to London, England. Jon wants to propose to his girlfriend, Liz, who is a veterinarian. Garfield and Odie, the dog, secretly tag along for the adventure.
A Royal Mix-Up
In London, Garfield accidentally switches places with a royal cat named Prince. Prince looks exactly like Garfield! Prince lives in a grand castle called Carlyle Castle. He is the heir to a huge estate. This means he is supposed to inherit everything from his owner, the recently passed Lady Eleanor.
The Evil Lord Dargis
Lady Eleanor's nephew, Lord Dargis, is a very greedy man. He wants to get rid of Prince so he can inherit the castle and all the money himself. He tries many tricky ways to get rid of Prince. Meanwhile, Garfield is living the luxurious life of a royal cat in the castle. He enjoys all the fancy food and attention.
Prince's New Life
At the same time, Prince finds himself living with Jon and Liz. He experiences the normal life of a housecat. He learns about things like eating regular cat food and sleeping in a normal bed. Both cats learn a lot from their new, unexpected lives.
Will They Switch Back?
Eventually, Jon and Liz realize that the cat they have is not their Garfield. They start to look for the real Garfield. The movie becomes a race against time.
