Garfield: The Movie is a fun 2004 American comedy film. It brings the famous Garfield comic strip by Jim Davis to life. This movie mixes real actors with a computer-made Garfield. Peter Hewitt directed the film.
In the movie, Breckin Meyer plays Jon Arbuckle. Jennifer Love Hewitt is Dr. Liz Wilson. The voice of Garfield, the lazy and sarcastic cat, is done by Bill Murray. The film was made by Davis Entertainment Company and 20th Century Fox. It came out in the United States on June 11, 2004. The movie earned over $200 million worldwide. A second movie, Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties, came out in 2006.

Story of the Movie
The movie starts with Garfield living a perfect life. He spends his days eating, sleeping, and teasing his owner, Jon. Garfield also loves to make fun of Odie, Jon's happy dog.
Odie Goes Missing
One day, Jon takes Odie to a pet show. Odie performs a fun dance. This makes him very popular. Garfield gets jealous of Odie's new fame. When they get home, Garfield accidentally locks Odie outside. Odie runs away and gets lost.
The Search for Odie
Garfield feels bad about what happened. He decides to go look for Odie. He meets many other animals during his search. He learns that Odie has been taken by Happy Chapman. Happy Chapman wants to use Odie for his TV show.
Saving Odie
Garfield teams up with other animals to rescue Odie. They plan to sneak into the TV studio. Garfield and his new friends work together. They try to get Odie back before Happy Chapman can take him away for good. The movie shows how Garfield learns to be a better friend.
