Garry Gross (born November 6, 1937, died November 30, 2010) was an American photographer. He started his career taking pictures for fashion magazines. Later, he became very well-known for his amazing portraits of dogs.

Garry Gross's Photography Career
Garry Gross was born in New York. He began his career as a photographer for businesses. He learned from famous photographers like Francesco Scavullo, James Moore, Lisette Model, and Richard Avedon.
His fashion and beauty photos were in many magazines. His pictures even appeared on the covers of magazines like GQ, Cosmopolitan, and New York Magazine. Garry Gross photographed many famous people. These included Calvin Klein, Gloria Steinem, Whitney Houston, and Lou Reed.
Working with Dogs
Garry Gross also studied at the Animal Behavior Center of New York. In 2002, he became a certified dog trainer. He used this training to start working with dogs. He created beautiful, artistic portraits of them.
His last big project was a series of large pictures of older dogs. He also actively supported charities that helped rescue dogs and senior dogs.
