About Gavin O'Connor
Gavin O'Connor was born in Cork, a city in Ireland. He studied acting at the Samuel Beckett Centre, which is part of Trinity College Dublin.
Gavin's Acting Journey
Gavin O'Connor started his professional acting career on stage. His first play was Loco County Lonesome by Pat McCabe. This play was performed at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin in September 1994.
He first appeared on screen in the movie The Informant in 1997. Later, he played a younger version of the Earl of Shrewsbury in the TV series The Tudors. This show first aired in 2009.
Gavin O'Connor also wrote, acted in, and produced a film called Blink. This film was nominated for an award at the Montreal World Film Festival.
In 2015, he played Seán Doherty in the TV series Charlie. Seán Doherty was a former Minister for Justice in Ireland. In 2016, Gavin played Patrick Pearse in The Bloody Irish for PBS. In 2018, he appeared as Mackin in the RTE drama Taken Down.
Besides acting on screen, Gavin O'Connor also does voice-over work. He has lent his voice to many advertisements and animated shows. He also voiced characters in computer games, such as Kian Alvane in Dreamfall: The Longest Journey.
