Early Life and Olympic Journey
Gemma started her journey in synchronized swimming at a young age. She worked very hard to become one of the best. She represented Spain in three Olympic Games. These were in 2000, 2004, and 2008. At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, she won two silver medals. One was for the duet competition. The other was with her team. These were big moments in her career.
Retirement and Amazing Comeback
After many years of competing, Gemma announced her retirement on February 15, 2012. She then started coaching the national synchronized swimming team. But in June 2015, Gemma surprised everyone.
