Geno Delafose grew up in Eunice, Louisiana. When he was just eight years old, he joined his father's band, the Eunice Playboys. He played the rubboard, which is a musical instrument you rub with thimbles. He continued playing with his father's band until 1994, when his father passed away. In 1994, Geno released his first album, French Rockin' Boogie, with Rounder Records. This album's name also became the name of his band, which he still plays with today. He released two more albums with Rounder Records. Later, he signed with Times Square Records and released Everybody's Dancin' in 2003.
