George Charles Patrick Bingham, 6th Earl of Lucan (born 24 November 1898 – died 21 January 1964) was a British soldier and politician. He was also known as Lord Bingham for many years. He served in the military and later became an important member of the House of Lords.

Early Life and Education

George Bingham, also known as Pat Lucan, was born in London, England. He was the oldest son of the 5th Earl of Lucan. He went to two famous schools: Eton College and the Royal Military College Sandhurst. These schools helped prepare him for his future career.

Military Service and Roles

George Bingham began his military career during World War I. He joined the Coldstream Guards as a second lieutenant. He continued to serve in the army after the war.

World War II Contributions

During Second World War, he was a colonel. He led the 1st Battalion of his regiment from 1940 to 1942. After that, from 1942 to 1945, he worked for the Air Ministry. His job was Deputy Director for Ground Defence.
