George Conditt IV (born August 22, 2000) is a professional basketball player from the United States and Puerto Rico. He plays for the Gigantes de Carolina team in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional league. George also played college basketball for the Iowa State Cyclones. He proudly represents the Puerto Rican national basketball team in international basketball games.

Early Life and High School Basketball
George Conditt IV was born in Chicago, Illinois. He went to Corliss High School and was a very good student. In his final year of high school, he was an amazing player. He averaged about 15 points, 17 rebounds, and 8 blocks per game. He helped his team, Corliss, achieve a great record of 24 wins and only 5 losses. They almost made it to the state tournament for the first time ever!
George was recognized as one of the best high school players. He was chosen for the Class 2A first-team All-State. Major sports websites like 247Sports, ESPN, and Rivals.com rated him as a "three-star recruit." This means he was considered a very promising young player. He chose to play college basketball at Iowa State.

George Conditt played college basketball for the Iowa State Cyclones from 2018 to 2022.
Freshman and Sophomore Years
As a freshman in 2018–2019, George played in 26 games. He averaged 2.0 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks per game. In his sophomore year, he played in all 32 games, starting seven of them. He improved his game, averaging 7.0 points and 4.9 rebounds. He was also one of the best shot blockers in the Big 12 Conference men's basketball, averaging 1.6 blocks.
Junior and Senior Years
During his junior year, George played in all 24 games. He averaged 2.4 points and 3.6 rebounds. In his senior season, he played in all 35 games and started 26 times. He averaged 4.9 points and 3.5 rebounds. He was very accurate with his shots, making 66.3 percent of them. He also showed his passing skills, getting a career-high 67 assists.
George finished his college career with 128 blocks. This is the fourth-highest number of blocks in Iowa State's history! In the NCAA tournament, Iowa State made it to the "Sweet Sixteen." This is when only 16 teams are left in the competition. After the 2021–2022 season, George decided to become a professional basketball player.

First Time with Carolina (2022)
In 2022, George was chosen as the second overall pick in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional draft. He was drafted by the Gigantes de Carolina team in Puerto Rico. He officially signed with them on April 7, 2022. In 25 games, he averaged 11.8 points and 7.3 rebounds.
Playing in Greece with Promitheas Patras (2022-2023)
On September 16, 2022, George signed with a Greek team called Promitheas Patras. He played in 24 games in their league, averaging 9.7 points and 6.2 rebounds. He also played in the EuroCup, an international competition. In the EuroCup, he averaged 7.6 points and 4.2 rebounds.
Second Time with Carolina and a Championship Win (2023)
In June 2023, George was named to the Puerto Rico National Team for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup. He played his last game of the regular season with the Gigantes before joining the Portland Trail Blazers camp in the United States. During this time with Carolina, he averaged 14.5 points and 9.3 rebounds in 27 games.
After the camp, George returned to the Gigantes for the playoffs. His team, Carolina, was not expected to win against the top-ranked Piratas de Quebradillas. However, with George, Tremont Waters, and former NBA player Mike Scott, they surprised everyone. They defeated the favorite team in six games! On July 27, 2023, George helped the Gigantes de Carolina beat the defending champions, Vaqueros de Bayamón, to win the team's first championship ever!
Time with Rip City Remix (2023–2024)
In September 2023, George signed a special contract with the Portland Trail Blazers. He joined their training camp and then played for their G League team, the Rip City Remix. The G League is like a development league for the NBA. He officially joined the Rip City Remix on October 30, 2023.
Third Time with Carolina (2024)
On April 8, 2024, George Conditt returned to the Gigantes de Carolina for his third time. In 27 games, he averaged 14.5 points and 9.3 rebounds. On July 11, 2024, George was named the league's Defensive Player of the Year. This award recognized him as the best defensive player in the league!
Playing in Spain with Gran Canaria (2024)
On July 19, 2024, George signed with CB Gran Canaria, a team in Spain's top basketball league, Liga ACB.
Playing for Puerto Rico's National Team
Even though George was born in Chicago, he plays for the Puerto Rico national team. This is because his mother has Puerto Rican family.
Youth and Early Senior Team Appearances
At the 2018 FIBA Under-18 Americas Championship, he averaged 11.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 3.3 blocks. He helped the team finish in fourth place. In 2021, he played for Puerto Rico in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament. He played very well, especially in a game against Serbia, where he scored 20 points.
Qualifying for the Olympics (2024)
In 2024, George was part of the team that helped Puerto Rico qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics. They achieved this by defeating both Italy and Lithuania in important qualifying games. George plays the center position for the national team.
Personal Life
George Conditt IV comes from a family of athletes. His father, George Conditt III, played football for Iowa State Cyclones football in the 1990s. George's mother, Carol, taught him Spanish and encouraged him to play for Puerto Rico. He is one of five children in his family. George is also a member of the Phi Beta Sigma fraternity.
