He went to school at Winchester College. He also studied at Trinity College, Cambridge, a famous university.
A Career in Politics
From 1790 to 1796, George Harry Booth-Grey was a Member of Parliament for Aldeburgh. He was part of the Whig political group.
He also tried to become a Member of Parliament for two other areas. He lost in Grampound. However, he won in St Germans. He represented St Germans in Parliament from 1796 to 1802.
Family Estates and Titles
In 1819, George Harry Booth-Grey's father passed away. George then became the Earl of Stamford and Warrington. This meant he inherited many family properties.
These estates included Enville, Staffordshire, Bradgate Park in Leicestershire, Dunham Massey in Cheshire, and Stalybridge in Lancashire.
He was also given important roles in Cheshire. In 1819, he became the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire. This was a representative of the King or Queen in the county. In 1827, he also became the Vice-Admiral and Chamberlain for Cheshire.
Marriage and Children
On December 23, 1797, George Harry Booth-Grey married Henrietta Charlotte Elizabeth Charteris. She was the sister of Francis Douglas, the 8th Earl of Wemyss.
They lived at Enville Hall, which was the main family home. They had five children together:

Later Life and Legacy
George Harry Booth-Grey passed away at Enville Hall in 1845. His grandson, George Grey, inherited his titles. This was because George Harry's son, who was the 8th Baron Grey of Groby, had died before him in 1835.
