Early Life and Youth Career

Georgi Slavkov started playing football at a young age. From 1974 to 1976, he was part of the youth team at Trakia Plovdiv. This is where he developed his skills as a future professional player.

Club Football Journey

Slavkov had a long and successful career playing for different football clubs. He was known for his strong shots and ability to score goals.

Playing for Trakia Plovdiv

Georgi Slavkov played for Trakia Plovdiv from 1976 to 1979 and again from 1980 to 1982. During his time there, he scored an impressive 61 goals in 112 games. This made him a key player for the team.

Success with CSKA Sofia

One of his most successful periods was with CSKA Sofia. He joined them in 1980 for a short time, scoring 5 goals in 9 games. He returned to CSKA Sofia from 1982 to 1986. In this period, he scored 42 goals in 92 matches, showing his great talent.

Playing Abroad: France and Portugal

After his time in Bulgaria, Slavkov moved to play in other countries. In 1986, he joined the French club Saint-Étienne. He played 16 games for them.
