The Germany men's national volleyball team represents Germany in international volleyball games. They are often called Die Adler (The Eagles) or Die Mannschaft (The Team). The DVV (Deutscher Volleyball-Verband) manages the team. They compete against other countries in big tournaments.

The German men's national volleyball team has a rich history. They have competed in many major tournaments. These include the Olympic Games and the World Championships.
Early Success: East Germany's Triumphs
Before 1990, Germany was divided into two countries. These were West Germany and East Germany. The East German team had great success. They won a gold medal at the World Championship in 1970. This big win happened in Bulgaria. They also won gold at the World Cup in 1969.
A United Team: Germany's Achievements
After 1990, East and West Germany reunited. The new German team continued to compete. They took on the records of both former teams.
The united German team has also achieved great things. They won a bronze medal in the 2014 World Championships. This tournament was held in Poland. They also earned a silver medal at the 2017 European Championship. This event also took place in Poland.
The team has participated in the Olympic Games three times. Their best finish was 5th place in 2012. This was at the Summer Olympics in London.
