What is Get Ed About?
The story of Get Ed takes place in the future, in a city called Progress City. Ed is a super-powered teen who works for a delivery company called Dojo Deliveries. He uses his amazing computer skills to stop bad guys who steal people's information or destroy businesses.
Ed works with his friends: Burn, Deets, Fizz, and Loogie. Loogie always has his puppet, Dr. Pinch, with him! Their wise friend and leader, Ol’ Skool, guides them. Together, they fight against the main villain, Bedlam. Bedlam is a powerful businessman who wants to control all of Progress City. He tries to steal from, spy on, or even destroy his rivals.
Meet the Characters
The Heroes of Dojo Deliveries
- Ed: Ed is a special teen created from an ancient alien artifact. Ol' Skool found the artifact and used it to make Ed. Ed works as a delivery boy for Dojo Deliveries. He also fights crime and tries to learn about his own mysterious past. He finds cool alien gadgets that help him. Ed can sometimes be a bit silly, but he gets flashes of future events that help his team. He rides a hoverboard that has its own artificial intelligence. His symbol is "The Protector."
- Deets: Deets, whose real name is Sarah, used to be a computer programmer. She was forced to work for Bedlam because he captured her parents. Ol' Skool helped her rescue them, and she joined the Dojo team. She seems to like Ed, and he might like her too! Deets uses a jet glider pack to fly around. Her symbol is "The Dreamer."
- Burn: Burn is the unofficial leader of the Dojo team. He's very proud of being the best courier. When Ed joined, Burn felt his spot was challenged. He's often tough on Ed, but deep down, he cares about him. Burn rides a cool, flaming one-wheeled motorcycle. His symbol is "The Warrior."
- Fizz: Fizz is a super smart girl who is great with technology. She's always building new gadgets and planning strategies for the Dojo team. Her quick thinking often saves her friends. Fizz flies around on a scooter. Her symbol is "The Builder."
- Loogie: Loogie is a funny teen comedian. He always has a catfish puppet named Dr. Pinch on his hand. Dr. Pinch has a strange personality and often makes fun of Loogie! Loogie uses rocket-powered roller skates to get around. His symbol is "The Joker."
- Ol’ Skool: Ol' Skool is the wise leader of the Dojo. He knows a lot about deliveries and many other things. He's the one who created Ed from the alien artifact. Ol' Skool often says he knows more about Ed than Ed knows about himself! He rides a regular skateboard, unlike the others. He used to work with Bedlam before Bedlam betrayed him.
- Torch: Torch is a small, floating fireball hologram with a face. He's an artificial intelligence that Ed found in one of Bedlam's old labs. Ed saved Torch by downloading him. Torch can show Ed maps and help him find the fastest routes.
The Villains of Progress City
- Bedlam: Bedlam is a very greedy person who wants to control all of Progress City. He used to be business partners with Ol' Skool, but he cheated Ol' Skool and took everything. Now, Bedlam is very interested in Ed's connection to alien artifacts. He leads armies of clones, robots, and other strange characters.
- Kora: Kora is Bedlam's personal computer assistant. She appears as a golden hologram. Kora is very smart and often comes up with better plans than Bedlam. However, Bedlam still treats her like a servant.
- Crouch: Crouch is Bedlam's robot CEO, who has a toaster for a head! He's not very smart and often acts childish. Bedlam gets angry with him a lot because he's so clumsy. Bedlam keeps him around because he "needs the toast."
- Strap: Strap is a strong robot created by Bedlam. He's designed to fight and fly, and his main job is to capture Ed.
- Rex: Rex is a huge T. rex dinosaur that Bedlam keeps.
- Mrs. Crouch: Mrs. Crouch is Crouch's robot wife. She looks a lot like Crouch but wears a dress and a wig. She started as a computer simulation but later became real.
- The Recyclers: These are mailman clones that can regenerate, meaning they can heal themselves. They work as couriers for Bedlam's evil empire.
- Bedlam Bots: These are robot soldiers who work for Bedlam.
Other Interesting Characters
- The Caretaker: The Caretaker is a radio host who knows everything happening in Progress City. Her voice is similar to another important character.
- Dirk Cheap: Dirk is the only employee of 'Dirk Cheap Deliveries'. He reports to his mother, who he calls 'Dispatcher'.
- Z3R0: Z3R0 is a robot created by Crouch. He had a problem that gave him his own thoughts and feelings. After that, he became a friend to Ed and the Dojo team.
- Grim Tech: Grim Tech is an old cyborg scientist. He was sent back in time by a future version of Bedlam to destroy Ed. Many people in Progress City are scared of him because of how he looks and his experiments.
- Buster and Pit: These are two trash robots that appear in almost every episode. They are friends with Ed and the Dojo team.
- Sensei: Sensei is Ol' Skool's teacher, who is a monk. He always calls Ol' Skool "hot dog."
- The Machine: The Machine protects important alien objects. She was responsible for hiding these objects in Progress City many years ago. She secretly gives Ol' Skool instructions to create Ed, because Ed is meant to save both Earth and her home planet.
