Gilbert is a small village in Franklin Parish, Louisiana, United States. In 2010, about 521 people lived there. A sign welcoming visitors to Gilbert proudly says it's the hometown of Lieutenant General Claire Chennault, a famous U.S. military leader.

Gilbert is in the southern part of Franklin Parish. It's located on U.S. Route 425. This road goes north about 9.5 miles (15 km) to Winnsboro, which is the main town of the parish. It also goes south about 14 miles (23 km) to Sicily Island.
