Gina Gaston's TV Journey

Gina Gaston started working at Channel 13 (KTRK-TV) in 1992. She helped host the morning news show with Tom Koch. In 1999, she left KTRK-TV for a new opportunity. She moved to MSNBC to co-host an afternoon show called HomePage.

On HomePage, she worked alongside Ashleigh Banfield and Mika Brzezinski. A magazine called Entertainment Weekly once called them "the Powerpuff Girls of journalism." Gina Gaston left MSNBC in 2000.

In 2001, she returned to Channel 13. She became the anchor and reporter for the 6 PM and 10 PM news. Before joining KTRK-TV, Gina worked at other TV stations. These included WTSP in Tampa, Florida, WHTM-TV in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and KLTV in Tyler, Texas.
