Gina Keatley (born March 9, 1980) is an American nutritionist (someone who helps people eat healthy). She is also a well-known person in the media and a TV host. Gina is famous for her TV shows about food and her ideas on how to stay healthy and manage weight. In 2013, she received a special award called The President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition Community Leadership Award.

Gina Keatley's Journey in Nutrition

While she was a student, Gina Keatley won many cooking awards. These awards came from the New York part of the American Culinary Federation.

In June 2007, Gina helped start a group called Nourishing USA. She was its CEO. For five years, she worked to fight obesity and diabetes. She focused on areas in New York City where healthy food was hard to find.

Helping Others Eat Well

Gina also worked as a nutrition expert for different groups. One of these was The New York Yankees. For them, she created a program to help kids manage their weight and stay healthy. She looked into problems where people in cities didn't get enough good food. She also encouraged people to take charge of their own health.

Because of her work, Turner Broadcasting called her a CNN Hero. L’Oreal also named her a Woman of Worth. She received a "Special Inspiration Awardee" from the Susan G. Komen Inspirational Awards. She also got a Women of Excellence Award from Wiley College.

In 2012, Gina opened her own nutrition center. It was called Keatley Medical Nutrition Therapy. In 2013, she received The President's Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition Community Leadership Award.

Becoming a Food Ambassador

In 2014, Gina was named one of Collaborate Magazine's "40 Under 40." This award recognized her as a top young professional in her field. In 2015, Gina became the American Ambassador for Malaysian Cuisine. This meant she helped share Malaysian food culture in the U.S.

In 2017, Gina became the main editor for Spiralized Magazine. She also became the Creative Director for Tasty Bytes Magazine. She created two phone apps, Fork Up Phone Down and The Dinner Bell. These apps help people eat healthier.

In December 2017, Gina started teaching International Cuisine at Queens College. This is part of the City University of New York. In May 2018, she helped launch SIMMER.
