Giorgos Mazonakis (born March 4, 1972) is a very popular Greek singer. He is famous for his modern folk-pop and pop music. He has been making music since 1992 and is well-known in Greece and beyond.

About Giorgos Mazonakis
Giorgos Mazonakis was born and grew up in Nikaia, a neighborhood in Piraeus, Greece. When he was young, he loved listening to traditional Greek folk songs. He enjoyed music from famous singers like Stratos Dionysiou, Yiannis Parios, Marinella, and Haris Alexiou.
How He Started Singing
At just 15 years old, Giorgos knew he wanted to be a singer. His first time singing in a nightclub was in Patras in the summer of 1992. There, people from a music company called PolyGram Greece discovered his talent.
His Unique Style
Giorgos Mazonakis has a special way of performing. His unique voice and fresh ideas changed how nightlife entertainment worked in Athens. He became very successful, performing in many well-known nightclubs.
Singing Around the World
Besides Greece, Giorgos has performed in many other places. He has sung in Cyprus, Germany, Australia, and several cities in the United States. These include New York City, New Jersey, Atlantic City, and Chicago. One of his big hits, "Mou Leipeis" (which means "I miss you"), was even used in a car advertisement in Italy.
Music and Other Projects
In 2002, Giorgos sang two songs for a movie soundtrack. The music was created by Stamatis Kraounakis. Giorgos also worked with a Greek fashion company called Deux Hommes for a special event called MadWalk by Vodafone. A big newspaper from Turkey, The Hurriyet, even chose Giorgos's nightclub performances to show what Athens nightlife was like. He also worked with Turkish songwriters on his album Ta Isia Anapoda.
