Giovanna Antonelli Prado (born on March 18, 1976) is a famous Brazilian actress, TV host, and producer. She is well-known for her many roles in popular TV shows and movies.

Giovanna Antonelli's Early Career

Starting Out in Television (1991–1999)

Giovanna Antonelli began her career in television at just 15 years old in 1991. She appeared on a children's TV show called Clube da Criança on the Rede Manchete network. On this show, she was one of the "angeliquetes," who were assistants to the host.

In 1994, when she was 18, Giovanna started acting in TV shows. Her first acting role was as Benvinda in the show Tropicaliente, which aired on Rede Globo. After that, she returned to Rede Manchete for more acting roles. She played Ressú in Tocaia Grande (1995) and the character Elvira in Xica da Silva (1996). After gaining recognition for Xica da Silva, she returned to Globo. There, she played Judy in Corpo Dourado (1998). She also appeared as Violet in Força de um Desejo and later joined the cast of Malhação, playing Isa.

Becoming a Star (2000–2006)

Breakthrough Roles in TV Shows

In 2000, Giovanna Antonelli played Capitu in the TV show Laços de Família. Her acting in this role was highly praised, and she won several awards, including Breakthrough Actress and Best Actress. That same year, she also made her first movie appearance in Bossa Nova.

Giovanna Antonelli is the daughter of Hilton Prado and Suely Antonelli. She has a brother named Leonardo Pietro Antonelli.

She was married to businessman Ricardo Medina from 2000 to 2002. Later, she had a relationship with actor Murilo Benício, her co-star from O Clone. Their son, Pietro, was born in 2005.

In 2009, she started dating director Leonardo Nogueira. They had twin daughters, Antonia and Sophia, in 2010.
