Giovanna Antonelli Prado (born on March 18, 1976) is a famous Brazilian actress, TV host, and producer. She is well-known for her many roles in popular TV shows and movies in Brazil and around the world.

Giovanna Antonelli: A Talented Brazilian Actress
Early Life and First Steps in TV
Giovanna Antonelli started her career very young. In 1991, when she was just 15, she appeared on a children's TV show called Clube da Criança. She was one of the "angeliquetes," who were assistants on the show.
In 1994, at 18, Giovanna began acting in soap operas. Her first role was Benvinda in Tropicaliente on Rede Globo. After that, she worked on other TV shows like Tocaia Grande (1995) and Xica da Silva (1996), where she played a villain named Elvira. Her role in Xica da Silva made her more recognized. She then returned to Rede Globo for Corpo Dourado (1998) and Força de um Desejo. She also joined the cast of the popular series Malhação.
Becoming a Star: Famous Roles
In 2000, Giovanna played Capitu in the TV show Laços de Família. Her acting in this role was highly praised, and she won several awards for it. In the same year, she also appeared in her first movie, Bossa Nova.
"O Clone" and International Fame
Her big breakthrough came in 2001 when she starred as Jade in the TV show O Clone. Jade was a Muslim character who had to choose between love and her family's traditions. This role was a huge success in Brazil and many other countries. People loved her character's style, including her veils and jewelry. Giovanna won six awards for her role as Jade, including one for Best Romantic Couple with actor Murilo Benício.

Giovanna continued to take on diverse roles. In 2003, she played Anita Garibaldi in the miniseries A Casa das Sete Mulheres. Critics praised her for showing how versatile she was, moving away from her famous Jade character. She also played the Virgin Mary in the film Maria, Mãe do Filho de Deus (2003).

Giovanna is the daughter of Hilton Prado and Suely Antonelli. She has a brother named Leonardo. She has three children. Her first child, Pietro, was born in 2005. Later, in 2010, she welcomed twin daughters, Antonia and Sophia.
