Murilo Benício Ribeiro (born on July 13, 1971) is a famous Brazilian actor. He is well-known for his roles in popular TV shows called telenovelas. Some of his most famous roles were in O Clone, América, Por Amor, A Favorita, and Avenida Brasil.
Murilo started his acting journey in the early 1990s. His first big role was in the telenovela Fera Ferida, where he played a character named Fabrício. He became internationally recognized for his role in the highly praised telenovela O Clone, which aired from 2001 to 2002. In this show, he worked alongside actress Giovanna Antonelli and the show's creator Glória Perez.
Since then, Murilo Benício has been praised for his acting in many different types of TV shows and movies. His other well-known telenovelas and TV series include Chocolate com Pimenta (2004), América (2005), Pé na Jaca (2007), A Favorita (2008), Ti Ti Ti, the very successful Avenida Brasil (2012), and Geração Brasil (2014), which was about technology.

Murilo Benício was born in Niterói, Brazil. When he was a teenager, he enjoyed surfing with his friends on the beaches of Rio and Niterói. He stopped surfing when he started working as an actor. He has mentioned that the famous actor Charlie Chaplin inspired him to become an actor when he was young. His favorite author is Miguel de Cervantes. Murilo also enjoys doing physical exercises.
In 1996, he started a relationship with actress Alessandra Negrini. They had a son named Antônio Benício, who is also an actor. Their relationship ended in 1999.
In 1997, he met Carolina Ferraz while working on the telenovela Por Amor. They became friends and later started dating in 1999. Their relationship ended in 2001. In the same year, 2001, he met Giovanna Antonelli. They started dating in 2002 and later had a son named Pietro in 2005. They separated later that year.
In October 2012, Murilo Benício shared that he was in a relationship with actress Débora Falabella. They had kept their relationship private while filming the telenovela Avenida Brasil. As of 2020, he has been in a relationship with author and screenwriter Manuela Dias.
