Giuseppe Ciarrapico (born January 28, 1934 – died April 14, 2019) was an Italian businessman, publisher, and politician. He was known for owning different companies and for being involved in Italian politics. He also served as the president of the famous football club AS Roma for a few years. Later in his life, he became a senator for Italy.

Giuseppe Ciarrapico was born in Rome, Italy. He spent his childhood growing up in an area called Ciociaria. From a young age, he was involved in printing and publishing. He owned a printing plant in Cassino.

His Business Ventures

Ciarrapico was a successful businessman who owned many different companies. He owned large mineral water plants in Fiuggi. He also owned several private hospitals in Rome. His businesses included an aerotaxi company called Air Capitol. He even owned a well-known restaurant in Rome called Casina Valadier.

In the World of Football

In April 1991, Giuseppe Ciarrapico became the president of the football club AS Roma. This is a very popular team in Italy. He led the club for about two years. He left this role in 1993.

His Publishing Work

Ciarrapico also had a strong interest in publishing. He owned a chain of local newspapers. These newspapers included Ciociaria Oggi, Latina Oggi, and Nuovo Oggi Molise. In 1997, he started a new newspaper called Oggi Sicilia, which was published until 2000. His publishing company was later sold in 2012.

His Political Career

Giuseppe Ciarrapico also entered the world of politics. He became a senator of Italy. He was a member of Silvio Berlusconi's party, called The People of Freedom. He served as a senator from 2008 to 2013. During his time as a senator, some of his business properties faced investigations.
