The Glen Helen Amphitheater is a huge outdoor concert place in San Bernardino, California. It's located in the beautiful hills of Glen Helen Regional Park. This amazing venue can hold about 65,000 people, making it the biggest outdoor music spot in the whole United States! It first opened its doors in 1993.
Over the years, it has had a few different names, like Blockbuster Pavilion, Hyundai Pavilion, and San Manuel Amphitheater. Today, it's known as the Glen Helen Amphitheater. You can usually catch concerts here from March all the way through November.
About the Amphitheater
The Glen Helen Amphitheater is super big! It has different seating areas for people to watch shows. There are special seats closer to the stage for about 10,902 people. Then, there's a huge grassy area called the lawn section. This lawn can fit an amazing 54,098 people!
This makes it the largest outdoor music venue in the entire United States. It's a popular spot for many different kinds of concerts and music events.

Many famous musicians have performed at the Glen Helen Amphitheater.
- In 1993, the legendary singer Tina Turner performed a concert here. This show was even recorded and shown on TV!
- From 2019 to 2021, country music superstar Garth Brooks had a special agreement. He performed an annual concert at the amphitheater as part of his big Stadium Tour.
Naming History
The amphitheater has changed its name a few times since it opened.
- When it first opened in 1993, it was called the Blockbuster Pavilion.
- From 2003 to 2008, it was known as the Hyundai Pavilion.
- In 2008, the San Manuel Casino made a deal to have their name on the venue. So, it became the San Manuel Amphitheater.
- In January 2017, that naming agreement ended. The venue then got its current name, the Glen Helen Amphitheater.
