Glencoe, Missouri facts for kids
Glencoe was a small, quiet place in western St. Louis County, Missouri, United States. It wasn't a city with its own government, but rather a community located near the Meramec River. You could find it north of Eureka and within the southern part of Wildwood, right off Route 109.
History of Glencoe
Glencoe got its name from a famous place far away in Scotland. This Scottish place is called Glen Coe. People often name new places after places they remember or admire from their home countries.
