Glenn McCuen was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His parents are Glenn McCuen and Kathy Authement-McCuen. He grew up in Houma, Louisiana, with his older sister, Courtney. When he was younger, Glenn took karate lessons.

Discovering Gymnastics

At age eight, Glenn decided to try gymnastics, just like his sister. He was very good at it! He trained at Jennings Gymnastics in Schriever, Louisiana. When he was ten, his family moved to Plano, Texas. This move allowed him to train at the famous World Olympic Gymnastics Academy (WOGA).

Training for the Olympics

At WOGA, Glenn trained for seven hours a day. He also kept up with his schoolwork. He quickly became one of the best gymnasts. In 2007, he placed 8th in the country at the U.S. National Gymnastics Championships. In 2008, he won the Texas State Gymnastics Competition. Glenn dreamed of going to the Olympics and winning a gold medal.

An Unexpected Change

Sadly, in 2008, when Glenn was 17, he hurt his back badly. This injury meant he had to stop training for a year. It also ended his dream of becoming an Olympic gymnast.

In 2005, when Glenn was 14, he started acting. A talent scout was looking for a boy who could do a flip for a lightsaber toy commercial. Glenn auditioned and got the part! This experience made him realize he loved acting and modeling.

After his first commercial, Glenn started modeling. He worked with famous photographer Bruce Weber. He also appeared in ads for popular brands like Abercrombie Kids, Dillard's, JCPenney, and Neiman Marcus.

He then auditioned for a role on the Nickelodeon show Big Time Rush. Even though he didn't get that part, Nickelodeon asked him to read for another new show. This show was the teen comedy Bucket & Skinner's Epic Adventures. Glenn got the role of John "Aloe" Aloysius. Aloe is an egotistical surfer who is often against the main characters, played by Taylor Gray and Dillon Lane. The show premiered in July 2011.

Glenn McCuen lives in Los Angeles now. However, he still considers Louisiana his home. He enjoys visiting his family who still live there.
