The First Post Office
The Glentana post office first opened its doors in 1913. The very first person in charge of the post office, known as the postmaster, was William J. O’Connor. This post office served the community for many years.
Moving the Town
Something really unique happened in Glentana during the summer of 1926. The entire town was moved! This big move happened so that Glentana could be closer to the Great Northern Railway's train line. This train line connected the towns of Scobey and Opheim.
The Post Office Closes
The Glentana post office eventually closed down on September 4, 2010. However, even without a physical post office, the community still uses its own special ZIP code, 59240.
