Globo Loco was a super fun British game show that aired on ITV. It ran from 16 May 2003 to 2004 and was hosted by the awesome Stephen Mulhern. This show was all about crazy challenges and guessing games!
How the Game Worked
Globo Loco featured two teams of kids, usually boys versus girls. Their main goal was to guess the outcome of some really wild challenges. If a team's guess was the closest, they won a cool prize! After all the challenges were done, the team with the most correct guesses moved on to the final round.
Season One's Final Games
In the first season, there was a special game before the final. It was called 'Custard'. Both teams had to find out which bowl of "custard" was the real one. The trick was that one bowl looked, smelled, and even felt like custard, but it wasn't! The kids used a big foam sledgehammer to whack each bowl. The real custard would splatter everywhere, but the fake one was solid and didn't make a mess. The team that found the real custard got to play the final round.
The final game in Season One was called 'Couch Potatoes'. The winning team sat on a sofa that spun around. Two crew members spun the sofa. The team's job was to throw potatoes at television screens and smash them. Don't worry, it was all safe and part of the fun!
Season Two's Final Game
For the second season, the final round changed. It became 'The Memory Game'. In this game, the team had to guess how many items a grown-up or a celebrity could remember correctly. It was a test of memory for everyone involved!
