Stephen Daniel Mulhern was born on April 4, 1977, in Stratford, London. His parents, Maureen and Christopher, worked as market traders. Stephen went to St Bonaventure's school in Forest Gate, east London.
Stephen's Career Journey
His Start in Magic
Stephen's love for comedy and magic came from his dad. His father taught him magic tricks when he was very young. Stephen started performing magic for audiences when he was just 11 years old. He even performed at Butlin's Minehead during family holidays. He also worked as a Redcoat for two years.
He became the youngest person to join The Magic Circle. This led to him appearing on the TV show Blue Peter. He was later temporarily suspended from The Magic Circle. This happened because he showed how a magic trick worked on his children's TV show Finger Tips. However, his suspension was later lifted.

After finishing school, Stephen created his own magic show called Stephen's Mega Mad Magic Show. When he was 18, he tried out for a TV talent show but wasn't chosen. However, he later won another talent show called The Big Big Talent Show. This show was hosted by Jonathan Ross. Because he won, Stephen was invited to perform at the Royal Variety Performance in 1997.
Stephen has appeared on the Disney Channel and CITV. He hosted Saturday Showdown with Holly Willoughby. His other TV magic shows include The Quick Trick Show and Tricky TV. In 2005, Stephen created and hosted Freaky, a magic show for Channel 4. In 2006, he performed a magic act on The Slammer and came in second place.
