Stephen Daniel Mulhern (born 4 April 1977) is a popular English television presenter, magician, and comedian. He is known for hosting many fun shows on ITV.
Stephen started his career on CITV, where he presented children's shows like Finger Tips (2001–2004) and Tricky TV (2005–2010). Later, he hosted many different shows for ITV. These include Britain's Got More Talent (2007–2019), Catchphrase (2013–present), Big Star's Little Star (2013–2018), and In for a Penny (2019–2024). He also hosts Deal or No Deal (2023–present) and Dancing on Ice (2024–present).

Early Life and School
Stephen Daniel Mulhern was born on 4 April 1977. He grew up in Stratford, East London. His parents worked as market traders. Stephen went to school at St Bonaventure's in Forest Gate, East London.
Stephen's Career
Magic Tricks
Stephen's dad taught him magic tricks when he was 11 years old. This is how Stephen first became interested in comedy and magic. His family often spent holidays at Butlin's Minehead in Somerset. Stephen started performing his magic tricks there for people.
He became the youngest person to join The Magic Circle, which is a famous group for magicians. This led to him appearing on the TV show Blue Peter. He was later suspended from The Magic Circle for showing a magic trick on the children's TV show Finger Tips. However, his suspension was later lifted.
After finishing school, Stephen created his own magic show called Stephen's Mega Mad Magic Show. In 1997, he won a TV talent show called The Big Big Talent Show. This win led to him performing at the Royal Variety Performance. This is a very special show attended by members of the Royal Family.
Stephen has appeared on the Disney Channel and CITV. He worked with Holly Willoughby on Saturday Showdown. He also presented The Quick Trick Show and Tricky TV. In 2005, Stephen created and hosted a magic show for Channel 4 called Freaky.
Radio Shows
On 5 August 2012, Stephen started co-hosting a Sunday morning radio show. He worked with Emma Willis on the Heart Network. Sometimes, they also fill in for the regular hosts of the Heart London Breakfast show.
In 2021, Stephen began presenting shows on Virgin Radio UK. He covered for Graham Norton and also hosted the Chris Evans Breakfast Show for a week in December. He returned to Virgin Radio in April 2022 to host the Chris Evans Breakfast Show again.
Television Shows

Stephen started presenting on CITV in 1998. He co-hosted Finger Tips for four series. He worked with Fearne Cotton from 2001 to 2003, and then with Naomi Wilkinson in 2004. He also presented the children's show Tricky TV from 2005 to 2010. From 2004 to 2006, he co-hosted Holly & Stephen's Saturday Showdown with Holly Willoughby.
From 2006 to 2007, Stephen hosted Dancing on Ice: Defrosted on ITV2. This was a spin-off show from the main Dancing on Ice programme.
From 2007 to 2019, Stephen hosted Britain's Got More Talent on ITV2. This show aired right after the main Britain's Got Talent show. Stephen became known for his catchphrase "unbelievable!" on this show. He often said it as he walked off screen.
From 2009 to 2011, Stephen narrated Animals Do the Funniest Things. This was an entertainment show on ITV.
Stephen also regularly presented 'The Hub' on the ITV daytime show This Morning. He sometimes even hosted the main This Morning show.
In 2010, he hosted a primetime game show on ITV called Magic Numbers. Stephen has also hosted many episodes of The Big Quiz.
Since April 2013, Stephen has presented a new version of the ITV game show Catchphrase. In September 2013, he started presenting Big Star's Little Star. This show features celebrities and their children competing to win money for charity.
On 27 October 2013, Stephen began hosting a live Sunday morning show called Sunday Side Up on ITV. He also hosted a special entertainment show called The Illusionists in December 2013. In September 2014, Stephen was a guest host for an episode of Sunday Night at the Palladium.
In 2015, Stephen presented the ITV reality series Get Your Act Together. He also started presenting the ITV2 panel show Reality Bites. In 2015, he presented The Magic Show Story and The Saturday Night Story. He also hosted Pick Me!, a daytime game show, and co-hosted the ITV charity show Text Santa.
In February 2016, Stephen became the presenter of the 'Ant vs Dec' part of Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway. He also presented Go for It and co-hosted The Next Great Magician with Rochelle Humes. In April 2018, it was announced that Stephen would host The National Lottery Draws on ITV.
In 2019, Stephen started presenting In For A Penny. This show is based on a popular segment he presents on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.
In August 2020, Stephen began presenting a new game show on ITV called Rolling In It. This show features both regular people and celebrities. In February 2022, Stephen was a guest presenter for Dancing on Ice alongside Holly Willoughby. In January 2023, it was announced that Stephen would host a new version of Deal or No Deal, which started in November 2023. In December 2023, Stephen became the permanent co-host of Dancing on Ice.
