Awesome Crafty Segments
Finger Tips had different parts, or segments, in each episode. These segments taught you how to make all sorts of things. Here are some of the main ones:
- Finger Tips Top Make: This was usually the biggest and most exciting project of the show. It often came at the beginning.
- Food Finger Tips: Get ready to cook! This segment shared easy and yummy recipes you could make.
- Fun Finger Tips: Ever wanted to make your own games? This part showed you how to create games from scratch.
- Little Finger Tips: This segment was about giving old things a new life. You'd learn to make cool items from bits and pieces around your home.
- Makeover Finger Tips: This was similar to "Little Finger Tips." It focused on transforming ordinary items into something special. It replaced "Little Finger Tips" in later seasons.
The "Top Make" and either "Little" or "Makeover Finger Tips" were in every show. "Fun" and "Food Tips" usually appeared in different episodes. There were also some special, shorter segments:
- Fizzics Finger-Tips: This was all about cool and safe science experiments you could try.
- Cryptic Finger-Tips: Do you like puzzles? This special series taught you how to break codes and solve mysteries.
- Green Finger-Tips: This segment was for plant lovers! It showed you fun projects related to plants and gardening.
- Techno Finger-Tips: If you love computers, this part was for you. It featured projects that used computer skills.
- Party Finger-Tips: Get ready to party! This segment gave you awesome ideas for throwing a great party.
The One-Minute-Make Challenge
A super popular part of every show was the "One-Minute-Make." In this challenge, one of the presenters had to make something quickly. They had only 60 seconds and a few simple items! The other presenter would time them. They would switch roles in each episode, making it a fun competition.
The Show's Return in 2008
Finger Tips stopped making new episodes in 2004. This happened when ITV decided to change its children's programming. But good news! The show came back in 2008. A brand new series of 30 episodes aired from September to December 2008 on the CITV channel. Fans were very excited to see it return!
