Goetta's Early Life

Goetta was a sorrel colored foal. This means she had a reddish-brown coat. She was born in 1961. Her father was a famous horse named Go Man Go. Her mother was Etta Leo, whose father was another well-known horse named Leo.

Racing Career Highlights

Goetta raced for three years, showing incredible speed and talent. She competed in 31 races. Out of those, she won 22 times! She also finished second twice and third twice.

Top Racing Awards

The American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) gave Goetta many special awards:

  • In 1964, she was named the World Champion Quarter Running Horse. This is a huge honor!
  • She was also the 1965 Champion Quarter Running Aged Mare.

Goetta earned a lot of money during her racing career. She won over $233,920! She also earned 68 racing points. She had an amazing AAAT speed rating, which means she was super fast. Goetta won the famous All American Futurity race, along with many other important races.

Breeding and Legacy

After her racing days, Goetta became a mother. She had seven foals. Six of her foals became race winners, and two of them even won big stakes races! Sadly, Goetta passed away in 1978 while giving birth to her seventh foal.
