Golden is a small town located in Tishomingo County, Mississippi, in the United States. It's a quiet place with a friendly community. In 2020, about 192 people lived here. The current mayor of Golden is Davy Ginn.

Golden's History
The town of Golden first started because of the Golden Sawmill. Many people in the area worked at this sawmill. When the sawmill began to slow down, the town also faced challenges.
However, things changed when a railroad was built in the early 1900s. This brought new life and opportunities to Golden. The town officially became a town on February 8, 1908. Golden got its name from a baby named Golden Patrie Wiggins, whose family were some of the first settlers in the area.
Geography of Golden
Golden is located in the southern part of Tishomingo County. It is mainly found along Mississippi Highway 366. The town is just southeast of Belmont. It is also only a few miles west of the border with Alabama.
In Golden, Highway 366 travels southeast from Belmont. It then makes a sharp turn to the northeast near the center of town. After that, it goes southeast again towards Red Bay, Alabama. There, it becomes 4th Street.
According to the United States Census Bureau, Golden covers an area of about 0.6 square miles (1.5 square kilometers). All of this area is land.
