The Gol-Gol River is an important river in southern Chile. It flows into Puyehue Lake, making it the lake's main water source. This river is special because it runs right between two large volcanoes.

The Gol-Gol River is located in the southern part of Chile. It flows from east to west. Imagine a line between two big mountains; that's where this river travels.

The river flows between two famous volcanoes. These are the Puyehue-Cordón Caulle and Casablanca volcanoes. The area where the river collects its water is called its catchment area. This area covers all the land between these two volcanoes. It stretches from the Cardenal Antonio Samoré Pass all the way to Puyehue Lake.
