History of Good & Fruity
Early Days of the Candy
Before 1992, all Good & Fruity candies had the same red gummy inside. The different flavors came from the hard candy shell on the outside. So, even if the candy was yellow, the inside was still red and tasted the same as the red ones.
Changes in Flavor and Name
Around 1992, the way Good & Fruity was made changed. The inside of the candy started to match the color and flavor of the outer shell. This made the candy taste much "fruitier" than before.
For a while, Good & Fruity was not made anymore. But then, in March 2008, it came back! The recipe was different again. This new version was more like a jelly bean and did not have the red licorice inside. The name also changed a little bit. It used to be "Good n' Fruity," but the new name used an ampersand (&) instead of "n." The candy came in several yummy flavors: cherry, orange, lemon, lime, and blue raspberry.
When Production Stopped
In the middle of 2018, Good & Fruity candy stopped being made again. It has not been produced since then.
