Gordon is found at a specific point on the map: 40.750943 degrees North and -76.339447 degrees West.
The United States Census Bureau states that the borough covers a total area of about 0.6 square miles (1.5 square kilometers). All of this area is land. Gordon is located just north of Interstate 81, a major highway.
History of Gordon
The community of Gordon was named after David F. Gordon, who was a judge. The first post office in Gordon was opened on July 15, 1858. J. Faust was the first person to be in charge of the post office, known as the postmaster.
