The Governor of Gujarat is a very important person in the Indian state of Gujarat. Think of them as the official head of the state. They are chosen by the President of India. The Governor lives in a special house called Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar. The current Governor, Acharya Devvrat, started his role on July 22, 2019.

What Does the Governor Do?

The Governor has many important jobs and powers. These powers help them manage the state and make sure things run smoothly.

Managing the State: Executive Powers

The Governor has powers related to how the state is run every day. This includes:

  • Appointing important people to government jobs.
