Grace Gethin's Life
Grace Gethin was born in 1676. She was likely born in a place called Abbotsleigh. She was the last child of Frances Norton, Lady Norton and Sir George Norton.
Grace married an important person from Ireland. His name was Sir Richard Gethin. He was the 2nd Baronet of Gethinsgrott. This place was in County Cork. Grace and Sir Richard did not have any children together.
Her Early Death and Memorials
Grace Gethin died when she was only 21 years old. She was buried in Hollingbourne Church. There is a special memorial there for her.
Her parents also paid for another memorial. This one is in the famous Westminster Abbey in London. They also arranged for a special sermon to be read every Ash Wednesday. This was done to help people remember Grace's life.
