Great Golf Courses

Even though the land was flat, it now has cool rolling hills and two lakes. You'll see tall fescue grasses and smooth bent grass greens. There are also areas to practice putting and chipping. A clubhouse is here too.
  • Lincoln Golf Course - This is one of the oldest golf courses in North Dakota, started in 1909! After a big flood in 1997, it was changed from 18 holes to 9 holes. This was done to make space for a new dike system. Today, it sits in the huge Greater Grand Forks Greenway. Lincoln also has putting and chipping greens, plus a clubhouse.

What the Park District Does

The Grand Forks Park District has an important goal. They want to make sure everyone, no matter their age or ability, has chances to enjoy parks and recreation. They work to help people understand how good it is for their health to be active outdoors. They also help make the city's natural areas beautiful. The Park District wants to be professional in how they provide parks, fun activities, and care for trees. They also want people to know how much parks and recreation help the community grow.
