Geography
The town is only 5 feet (1.5 m) above sea level, and as a result, is prone to flooding. The population of the town is less than 50 people. It is located about 7 miles (11 km) east of Venice, and 68.8 miles (110.7 km) from New Orleans. The nearest international airport is Louis Armstrong International Airport, 128.0 kilometres (79.5 mi) away in New Orleans.
