Granite, sometimes called Granite Canon or Granite Canyon, is a small place in Laramie County, Wyoming, United States. It's known as an unincorporated community. This means it doesn't have its own city government. Instead, it's managed by the county.

Train Incident
On October 4, 2018, an important event happened in Granite Canyon. Two Union Pacific freight trains were involved in a collision. One train was stopped, and another train moving downhill crashed into its back. This accident caused several parts of the trains to derail, meaning they went off the tracks. Three locomotives and 57 cars from the moving train derailed. Also, nine cars from the stopped train derailed.
