Granville State Forest is a beautiful Massachusetts state park. It is located in the towns of Granville and Tolland. You can find it in the southern Berkshire Hills, right next to the state border with Connecticut.
This forest is managed by the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). It is also very close to Connecticut's Tunxis State Forest.

About Granville State Forest
Granville State Forest covers a large area of land. It is a place where nature is protected and can grow freely. The forest is a great spot for outdoor adventures and learning about the environment.
A Look at History
Long ago, this area was used by the Tunxis Native American tribe. They used it for hunting and fishing. In 1749, an English pioneer named Samuel Hubbard explored the area. After that, much of the land was turned into farms and open fields for animals.

Camping Adventures
You can go camping at Granville State Forest. There is a special camping area with restrooms and showers. The camping season usually runs from late May to mid-October. Remember, you can only camp at marked sites. Wilderness camping is not allowed to protect the forest.
- RV Camping: If you have an RV, there are some spots for vehicles up to 35 feet long. However, there are no hook-ups for water or electricity. There is also no waste station for trailers.
