Grasmere is a small community in Goffstown, New Hampshire, United States. It was once known as "Goffstown Centre." This area is not a separate town but part of Goffstown. It is located along the Piscataquog River in the eastern part of Goffstown.

Exploring Grasmere's Community Hubs
Grasmere has several important places that show its history and community spirit. These buildings have served different purposes over the years.
Historic Buildings and Landmarks
On the northern side of the Piscataquog River, you can find the Grasmere General Store. Nearby is the Grasmere Grange Hall. This building is located at 86 Center Street. It used to be Grasmere Village's Town Hall.
The Merri-Loo Community Preschool
For many years, the Grasmere Grange Hall has been home to the Merri-Loo Community Preschool. This preschool is a non-profit school. It was started in 1968 and helps young children learn and grow.
Hillside Cemetery and Church
Across Center Street from the Grange Hall is the Hillside Cemetery. A sign there says it was established around 1768. Next to the cemetery is the Hillside United Methodist Church. A sign above the church's main entrance reads:

Grasmere's Railroad History
Grasmere was once an important spot for trains. The Hillsborough County Railroad Station was located here. It was on the southern side of the river.
Grasmere's Freight Station
In the late 1800s and early 1900s, this station was very busy. It was where goods and supplies were brought in by train. These items were for Grasmere and other nearby areas. Goffstown had other train stations too. One was closer to the town center. Another was Parker's Station, near the border with Weare.
